Outage at X is a Cyber-attack, Claims Musk

The popular social media platform X had multiple outages on Monday. Elon Musk, the company’s owner, claimed that the outages were due to a “massive cyberattack.” More than 40,000 reports of an outage at X were received by DownDetector, the online service-status platform.

According to Musk, the attack was significantly larger and more coordinated than the daily cyber threats the platform usually faces. Musk noted that the scale of the attack suggested it could be the work of a large, coordinated group or even a nation.
