NTT Docomo is the Latest Victim in a String of Cyberattacks Targeting Japanese Companies
NTT Docomo, Japan’s largest mobile carrier experienced a cyberattack that disrupted operations on Thursday. The distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack affected the functioning of the company from early Thursday morning until late afternoon. Users were unable to access NTT Docomo’s news website, video streaming platform, mobile payment, webmail services, and golf-related website.
Their breach is one in the latest string of cyberattacks on Japanese companies in recent months. Earlier Japan’s national airline, Japan Airlines (JAL), Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, media company Kadokawa, Casio, and many others have all been affected by cyberattacks.
